Nah - you're comparing apples and oranges. The police cars used in Malaysia are general purpose - much like Australia's Holden's.

But the Europeans and their Porsches/Mercedes/Lamborghini's aren't necessarily road cars in daily use - they're there for promotional usage. Italy might have Gallardo's, but they've only got like 2 of them for show - not for chases!

The US has Corvettes, Vipers and the Nissan 350Z primarily because they accelerate (very!) quickly - and are used primarily for patrolling illegal street racing.

I knew much about what you posted in your comment (e.g. about those expensive cars not used for general daily use). But I've checked my post & saw how my original post might have prompted your comment, so I've now modified the post a bit by including a "small segment" of European police.
Hopefully, my post is now less misleading, but then people can read your insightful comment, in any case ;)
